Homenoon is a prominent name in the Local Market of UAE. We serve as an incredible platform for interior designers, manufacturers, established commercial brands, and clients. We are an advocate of innovation, luxury, style, comfort, craftsmanship, and practicality.
We realise that we don’t have to convince you, Mr/Mrs Abu Dhabi resident, that our fair city is a straight 10 on the urban swoon scale.
You know all about the futuristic skyscrapers, immaculate powder-sand desert island beaches, movie lot desert dunescape, world-leading dining and leisure adventures, all set against a poetically diverse cultural offering. Game recognises game.
And that with restrictions on tourism rolled back, the beautiful tempteratures and blue skies afforded by Abu Dhabi autumns — as the Department of Culture and Tourism — Abu Dhabi (DCT – Abu Dhabi) campaign states — ‘The Time [genuinely] is Now‘ to visit, Abu Dhabi.
Travel brand Bounce, recognises that game too, but has arrived at its conclusion via a more scientifc route then our methodolgy which is derived from the prinicple of saying ‘just look at it’.
They looked at 69 capital cities across the world, analysing urabn characteristics that inidicat the quality of life and affordability of holidaying there, and assigned scores accordingly.
Factors such as the average cost of a hotel and public transport; the number of attractions and restaurants (per km2); crime and safety; Instagrammability (measured by hashtags rather than whim); and, those holiday essentials — average temperatures and rainfall — were all taken into consideration.
Out of those 69 entries Abu Dhabi was ranked in a close second place — scoring big touritstic points for its lack of rain, the number of attractions and of course, safety.
It was just pipped to the top of the metropolises spot by Malta’s picturesque Valletta — who’s relatively small size, means that it is densely packed with things to do, eat and take shamelss selfies infront of.
Aby Dhabi beat cities such as New Delhi (third), regional competition from Riyadh (fifth), global competiton from Paris (seventh) and absolute demolished London (39) (negative days of sunshine are never a good start).

With event capacities back up to 100 per cent, Abu Dhabi’s upcoming FUTR World is going to be an absolutely massive capital phenomenon.
As part of its edge-surfing manifesto, FUTR World brings with it three distinct experiences to Abu Dhabi, there’s FUTR Festival — an ensemble of huge name music acts that includes WizKid; FUTR Live that will bring to life exciting brand activations and interaction opportunities with popular social creators and influencers; and FUTR Summit, a collection of workshops and talks from some of the finest minds in retail, business innovation and entrepreneurship.
The event is taking place at Manarat Al Saadiyat, from December 9 and 11, 2021. Tickets are priced from just Dhs129 and are on sale now via the tickets.virginmegastore.me website.
It’s got a banging soundtrack
Headliners for FUTR Festival include rap and Afrobeat icon, WizKid (whose recent hit Essence was the first by a solo African artist to chart in the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100), and Alicai Harley amongst other big hitters.
It’s extreme
Red Bull BMX rider, Viki Gomez will be putting on a dazzling extreme sports display as part of FUTR Live; catch a discussion on ‘Breaking Boundaries’ from homegrown UAE figure skating pioneer Zahra Lari; and there’s even a chance to get a free makeover from Ruuby, London’s award-winning beauty delivering service.
It’s insanely Instagrammable
Take for example the installation by The Museum of Ice Cream (1 of 15 immersive experiences including Benefit Cosmetics and NASA) — this New York resident will be making its Abu Dhabi debut, and it is a double scoop of Insta-candy.
It’s got the best food adventures
FUTR Tastebud has a range of innovative food brands and concepts to wrap your palate around. Meet taste creators such as Mob Kitchen, the London-based food platform offering convenient and accessible, ultra-tasty recipe ideas. Pitch them questions, taste their creations and absorb some pro tips from their inspirational story. You’ll also find food truck experiences from the region’s most talented homegrown chefs, and become one of the first people to enjoy an exclusive all new flavour from Baskin Robbins
It’s influential

You can also interact and gain insight from conversations with Grace Beverley, Hadia Ghaleb, Darin Al Bayed and the UAE’s very own Lowi Sah.
It’s a little thing called fashionable, sweetie
FUTR trendsetting DNA runs right through all of its events. That’s part of what it is. But the demonstration of that on-mode positioning is possibly most clear, in its fashion installation. This includes a larger-than-life walk in wardrobe, displaying sustainable material led by the queen of fabrics, Tiffany Loy; plus a smart mirror and AR experience. If you think that’s innovative, wait until you experience the beauty, wellness, food, fitness, entertainment, retail and travel showcases.
Entry requirements
Current rules for Abu Dhabi events include requirements to show an Alhosn Green Pass (which itself requires the individual to be fully vaccinated), and to have had a negative PCR result within 96 hours of accessing the venue.

Dubai Design Week is back in November with an extensive program featuring over 200 free-to-attend events reinforcing Dubai’s position as the region’s central hub for design and creativity.
The event runs from Monday, November 8 to 13 and will be staged at the festival’s main hub in d3 and around the city.
Here are the top 5 things to add to your to-do list if you’re visiting the creative festival
2040: d3 Architecture Exhibition
Dubai already looks like ‘the city of the future’ with plenty of plans in place pertaining to transportation, sustainable urban developments and more. If you visit the festival, you can get a glimpse of what the architecture of Dubai will look like at 2040: d3 Architecture Exhibition. It is presented by five architectural firms and the designs can be viewed at Dubai Design District (d3) – Building 6 Atrium.
Check out the installations and pop-ups
There’s already plenty of art, sculptures and more to soak in at d3 and there will be 15 more installations and public interventions staged during Dubai Design Week. Visitors can expect installations, immersive experiences and more.
Workshops
At Making Space in d3 (Building 6), a programme of over 80 workshops will provide visitors of all ages the opportunity to experiment with ancient and innovative ways of making and creating. The workshops span from pottery to reforming plastic, using soap as a new medium and more. All the activities here have been curated keeping the planet in mind.
Meet the UAE Creatives
This new and daily program will bring together the local creative community in one of d3’s many bespoke eateries. The program will be held in a traditional ‘Barza’ setting. Historically, these took place in front of a council where members of the community got together to raise important matters with elders and Sheikhs. At Dubai Design Week, this tradition has been given a contemporary twist.
Visitors will be able to meet the region’s artisans, creatives and small businesses presenting high-quality, handcrafted and responsibly sourced products.
The food and family entertainment
No event in Dubai is ever complete without delicious food offerings and yes, you’ll find it here at Dubai Design Week. Additionally, a number of events including a programme of live music sessions and entertainment will be available on the weekend.
With so much going on during the festival, Dubai Design Week has an app to make it easy to keep track of things to do. By downloading the app, you can claim your free visitor ticket in addition to being updated on the latest health and safety guidelines.

Fendi X Skims is the iconic collaboration we never knew we needed.
There’s no doubt that Kim Kardashian and Kim Jones (Kim²) have effortlessly combined their expertise to create a highly-anticipated collection that consists of luxe loungewear and athleisure-inspired staples.
“The idea for the collaboration came about when my team and I were sitting around a table at the studio in Rome,” explains Fendi’s creative director. Often referred to as the new renaissance man, he ensured that collection would be considered nothing less than powerful.
Being the first official collaboration for Skims, it’s an iconic step for the brand and founder Kim.
“Both Fendi and Skims have a cultural power very different from each other, but equally as strong,” she said of the collab.
Adorned with both Skims and Fendi’s logos, the collection includes gloves, leggings, contemporary beachwear in bright colourways, and nylon sportswear.
With inspiration taken from Karl Lagerfeld’s first collection in 1979, both old and new elements are deeply imbued throughout the pieces.
The brands seamlessly collided their vision of creating solutions for women around the globe, thereby effortlessly mirroring this throughout the collection. By focusing on both fit and form, the pieces are irresistibly playful and an ode to timeless design.
After the dynamic cross-pollination runway show ‘Fendace’, made a popular impact on social media. As Fendi continues to spread its wings through key collaborations, this is what sets it apart from the rest.
As two forces unite, the collection will be available in select stores in the region on November 9, 2021, and a dynamic pop-up will take place in Dubai Mall’s Fashion Catwalk rotunda from November 2, 2021.
So, mark your calendars as this capsule is sure to sell out in no time.

The holiday season is creeping ever closer, which means that it could be time to start thinking about getting things Christmas-ready. Gifts will be some of the more important aspects of this, although they’re not the only ones.
You’ll also need to worry about getting your home Christmas-ready. From making sure you have enough food to breaking out the party games, there can be quite a lot to look after. Whether you’re decorating the house to the nines or taking a more relaxed approach, there are still a few things that you’ll need to worry about.
How To Get Your Home Christmas-Ready
Declutter Everywhere
While few people are ever in the mood for cleaning and decluttering, doing so now will save you from the hassle around Christmas. You’ll end up being much busier during the holidays, so you mightn’t have the time to do it then. Decluttering may be the most important part of this.
You’ll likely have multiple decorations to put up. You’ll naturally need the space for these. You wouldn’t necessarily need to throw things out to achieve this. Instead, it could be as simple as rearranging things and moving some furniture into different rooms.
If you prefer how things are arranged now, you could always move them back once the holidays are over. You’ll be taking down the decorations and cleaning up, after all, so you could get two things done at the same time.
While that does mean putting in more effort, it’ll mean having a welcoming home for your guests.
Be Prepared For Higher Bills
The holiday season is somewhat infamous for being one of the more expensive times of the year. That doesn’t only focus on buying presents. You’ll also have your energy bills to worry about. Depending on how many Christmas lights and electric decorations you have, you’ll see a notable rise in your bills.
Naturally, there are multiple ways to minimize this, such as solar energy, among other things. If they’re an option, then they can be recommended. There are also multiple other tips and tricks that you can take advantage of, such as only having the Christmas lights on during certain hours.
The same could also be said of your indoor lights. Without this, you might have to be prepared for some higher energy bills. Your grocery bills will also be much higher, as you’ll naturally have quite a few bits and pieces that you’ll need for the Christmas dinner, alongside other snacks.
Decorate The Main Areas
Decorating will be near the top of the list of things to do ahead of the holiday season. It can be tempting to go a bit overboard with this, although it mightn’t be a recommended option. If you were to decorate every room, it would end up being quite expensive.
Instead, it’s worth focusing on the main areas. These are the spaces that people will spend most of their time in. If you’re having guests over, especially overnight, that could need a decent amount of work. Your living room and dining room will be the most important areas here.
Once you have these done, you could place some smaller decorations around the home to spread the Christmas cheer. All of the larger decorations, however, should be kept in the main areas.
Keep The Pantry Stocked
One thing that most people associate with Christmas is food. If you were to leave your food shopping until the last minute, however, then it could prove stressful. That’s without mentioning how expensive it could end up being. You’ll naturally want to avoid going through this.
Buying all of the main things as early as possible is recommended. You can freeze the turkey and other foods for several weeks beforehand. Doing something similar for each of the other main parts of your Christmas grocery shopping is recommended.
Once you’ve done so, you shouldn’t need to stress too much. After that, it’s simply a matter of picking up the minor things as you need them. If you can buy any non-perishable goods on sale leading up to the holiday season, then that’s worth doing.
Some stores also let you set up automated weekly deliveries. If you buy the same things every week, then that’s worth setting up. Buying your groceries online could also be an effective way of cutting down on the hassle.
Make Some Freezer Meals
During the weeks leading up to Christmas, your weeknights might be quite busy. As a result, you could find yourself getting more takeaways or food deliveries than you normally do. You mightn’t have the time to cook constantly, after all.
Making some freezer meals when you have the time could be the most effective way around this. Some foods can stay frozen for much longer than you’d think. That could save you a significant amount of time and effort during the holiday season.
You’ll still be able to enjoy a home-cooked meal, so there shouldn’t be many reasons not to go for this option.
Clean Out The High-Traffic Areas
Making sure things are clean will naturally be a priority. With everything that you could have on, however, you mightn’t have the time to clean everywhere. You should focus on the high-traffic areas, as these will be where people spend all of their time.
The dining and living rooms will be some of the most notable areas. Giving these a deep clean before the holiday season properly kicks off could be more than recommended. You should also make sure to give the sofa, and any other furniture guests will use a good cleaning as well.
Since it’s the holidays, it could also be worth splurging on a professional cleaning. Why not give yourself the present of a less stressful Christmas?
Prepare For Guests
If you plan on having guests over, you’ll need to plan in advance for them. Most of this revolves around making your home as inviting as possible. Indoor decorations will be one of the more obvious parts of this.
Naturally, you’ll want to make sure that your tree looks as nice as possible. It’s also worth making sure that everything is as clean as possible and smells nice. If you’re planning on having guests spend the night, getting the spare room ready will be a necessity.
A scented linen spray could be more than recommended here, especially if you get one that smells Christmassy. Because it’s winter, it’s also worth putting a throw pillow and throw blanket onto the bed.
You shouldn’t need to worry about getting holiday-themed bed linens. Neutral, everyday bedding should be more than enough.
Be Smart About Outdoor Decorations
Your Christmas decorations can be one of the more expensive parts of the holiday, especially if you buy them new every year. It’s worth being smart about what ones you get and put up. Buying them at the right time, for instance, is more than recommended.
It’s typically better to buy them after Christmas, as they’ll be much more affordable. You can then store them until breaking them out the following year. Alternatively, you can reduce the number of decorations you get could be an appealing path.
You’d be surprised what the strategic placement of these decorations can do for your home. That’s the case for your lights and any other decorations. It’s worth concentrating around your doors and windows, as these are where people will usually pay the most attention.
On the inside, you should focus on the living and dining rooms, as these are where people will spend most of their time when they’re visiting.
Plan Ahead
Planning ahead can be vital for a lot of things. When it comes to the holidays, that’s especially true. You’ll have a lot to look after, especially if you have younger children. While you might have some time off work, you still mightn’t have enough time in the day to get everything done.
Between visiting other people and people visiting you, alongside all of the other activities you’ll have, there’s a lot of juggling to do. You can, thankfully, plan ahead for most of this. Figuring out meeting up with friends and family can be quite easy and only needs a few minutes of conversation.
That’s also the case for any parties or other events that might happen over the holiday season. You could also create a gift list to overcome the last-minute stress of present buying. Being able to check people off as you get your gifts could be more relaxing than you’d think.
Wrapping Up
Christmas is one of the most beautiful times of the year. What could beat spending time with friends and family around the tree with a warm fire in the fireplace? That doesn’t mean that it’s a stress-free period, however.
Making sure your home is Christmas-ready could be a time-consuming process. Once you have, however, it’ll make you feel much more festive. You can also enjoy the festivities much better, as will your friends and family when they visit.
That’ll make it well worth the time investment, so there shouldn’t be anything stopping you from getting your home Christmas-ready.
