A nationwide campaign, including a photography competition, has been launched to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the unification of the emirates.
As part of the UAE’s milestone celebrations, the medium of photography is playing a crucial role which you can have a part in too.
The photography book, which is set to become a high-end coffee table asset, is to be filled with photographs of candid moments and personal archives that express residents connection to this country, which is home to over 200 nationalities.
Through this campaign, Motivate Media Group aims to showcase photography that tells the story of what the UAE means to you and what memories you have made here.
There is no restrictions on who can enter, with both professionals and amateurs being encouraged to enter images into their respective categories. After submissions are in, a jury of six key members will vote and shortlist the top 100 photographs that will be featured inside the coveted book.
Aside from the final 100 images selected for the book, there will also be three winners selected according to specific criteria. Motivate Media will announce this both on and offline and follow the announcement shortly with an exclusive exhibition where the winners will be announced.
When discussing the importance of the milestone birthday, Managing Partner and Group Editor-in-Chief of Motivate Media Group, Ian Fairservice said, “Fifty years is an important milestone in the UAE’s history, and we are proud to be a part of the celebrations. The UAE is home to so many people, and this book will be a commemoration of their love for this country”.
